Thank you to all the participants in the 2009 All-City Ice Race, and the hundreds of people who came out for public skating on Lake Monona as part of the Madison Winter Festival.

The best skaters on the continent came to Madison for the 2008 North American Short Track Championships!

The Madison Speed Skating Club was formed in 1936 and is the second oldest ice Speedskating club in the United States. It is also one of the most successful. The Madison Speed Skating Club has consistently produced state and national champions. At least one member from the Madison Speed Skating Club has been on every Olympic Speedskating team since 1972.
